Leadership DNA
A 3-day immersive leadership training in nature for emerging leaders, team leads, and managers who want to discover their authentic leadership style and build genuine influence.
Practical, honest, and deeply transformative. This program helps you move beyond copying other leaders, develop a coaching mindset, and return with clarity, confidence, and a concrete plan to lead as yourself—not as someone you think you should be. The Leadership DNA training is about discovering who you are as a leader and building from that foundation. It’s about creating trust, bringing out the best in others, and leading with authenticity—in a way that feels natural to you.
This 3-day program combines the power of nature, innovative voice assessment technology, reflective exercises, and group dialogue to help you:
- Discover your authentic leadership style and natural strengths
- Develop a coaching approach that creates ownership in your team
- Navigate difficult conversations and conflicts with confidence
- Build genuine trust and psychological safety
- Translate insights into concrete leadership actions
The natural setting creates calm and perspective, while the small group (maximum 10 participants) provides real connection and honest feedback. This is more than a course—it’s a transformation that helps you lead authentically and bring out the best in yourself and your team.
What you’ll learn
Discover Your Authentic Leadership DNA
Understanding who you are as a leader is the foundation of genuine influence. Through voice assessment and reflection, you’ll gain clarity on your natural style, strengths, and communication patterns.
Develop a Coaching Mindset
Move beyond directive leadership. Learn to ask powerful questions that spark insight, create ownership, and bring out the best in others—without micromanaging or giving all the answers.
Build Trust and Psychological Safety
Trust is the foundation of effective leadership. You’ll learn the specific behaviors and conversation patterns that build genuine safety so your team feels secure taking risks and speaking up.
Create Accountability Without Control
Guide your team to take ownership naturally, without becoming a control freak. Master the art of setting clear expectations and creating accountability that feels empowering, not suffocating.
Navigate Difficult Conversations
Conflicts, resistance, and uncomfortable feedback don’t have to be scary. You’ll practice real scenarios in a safe environment until these conversations feel natural and confident.
Lead Diverse Communication Styles
Every team member communicates differently. Learn to recognize and adapt to different styles while staying authentic to yourself—creating connection without losing who you are.
Maintain Leadership Presence Under Pressure
Change, uncertainty, and high-stakes moments test every leader. Develop techniques to stay grounded, think clearly, and project calm confidence even when everything around you is chaotic.
Master Delegation and Empowerment
Learn to let go without losing oversight. Discover how to delegate effectively, develop others’ capabilities, and create a team that functions well even when you’re not in the room.
Why it works
Nature as catalyst for change. Research shows that nature-based training programs foster authentic personal development with lasting effects. The natural setting helps you disconnect from daily demands and stress and reconnect with what matters to you.
Small group, big impact. With a maximum of 10 participants, there’s space for everyone’s voice and story. The group provides diverse perspectives, honest feedback, and mutual support.
Practical approach, not just theory. We use theory as a foundation or a framework, not as a goal. Every theoretical concept translates into practical tools and concrete actions you can implement immediately.
Follow-up for sustainable change. The 3-week follow-up day ensures your insights don’t fade. We review progress, troubleshoot challenges, and refine your action plan.
I like that the program is very open and flexible and leaves a lot of room for discussion and reflection. I really like this approach. It was eye-opening for me and helped me to reflect on how I act and why.
The training takes place at a very nice location. A walk in nature can be so beneficial in absorbing the insights gained during the training!
This training provides a good opportunity to take a hard look back at yourself, your goals and your environment.

FAQ
What makes this different from other leadership training programs? Leadership DNA focuses on discovering and developing your authentic leadership style, not copying generic “best practices.” We work in small groups (max 10) for real vulnerability, and integrate learning over 3 weeks so changes actually stick. The program has a very open structure with lots of room to share experiences and bring in cases from your day-to-day work.
Do I need leadership experience to join? Ideally, you have at least 6-12 months of some form of leadership experience (formal or informal), but it’s not a strict requirement. The program is designed for emerging leaders (2-5 years experience) or professionals stepping into their first management role. If you’re highly experienced (10+ years), we can discuss whether this is the right fit during your intake call.
What is the voice assessment and how does it work? The voice assessment is an innovative technology that analyzes your natural communication patterns through your voice. You complete a 30-minute online recording session before the program, and receive a detailed report on your natural leadership style, communication preferences, stress responses, and potential blind spots. We use this assessment as a starting point which enables us to move straight into leadership topics.
What if I can’t attend the follow-up day? The follow-up day three weeks later is crucial for sustainable transformation. It’s when you bring back real experiences to troubleshoot and refine. If you can’t commit to these 3 days, you can check the calendar for future dates that do fit your schedule.
Is accommodation included? Yes, the 2-day retreat includes overnight accommodation (private room), all meals, training materials and the voice assessment. The only things not included are travel to/from the location and personal expenses.
Can I bring colleagues from my team? You can bring colleagues from the same company, but we recommend they’re peers (not in a direct reporting relationship with you) to ensure psychological safety and honest sharing. I intentionally mix participants from different organizations for diverse perspectives.
How do I enroll or get more information? The program is available through your company’s learning portal or academy. If you can’t find it, or want to enroll individually, contact me directly at petra@petrawildoer.nl or schedule a free intake call to discuss your situation and determine if the program is the right fit.
